Plot Synopsis
Using their rebellious independent spirit and items that would otherwise end up in the trash, Amie and Jolie Sikes-Smith travel across America to transform homes of their clients, including country music stars, Hollywood actors, and people who found them from Gypsyville.com. These sisters are raucous and rowdy treasure hunters or whimsical and colorful designer/decorators -- one of their mottos is "Well behaved women rarely make history" -- but they are definitely not antiquers or pickers, even though they attend Antique Week in Warrenton, Junk-o-rama, and many other events to find roadside treasures and do-it-yourself projects. After first airing a sneak-peek episode of JUNKY GYPSIES on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 7pm ET/PT, HGTV broadcast the official series premiere nearly six months later on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 7pm ET/PT. JUNK GYPSIES returned for Season 2 on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on a new network: GAC. In its eight-episode second season, JUNK GYPSIES follows Amie and Jolie as the embark on possibly the biggest opportunity of their careers: launching a new line of teen furniture and decor. Plus, the creative duo brings their restaurant background into play, hosting a BBQ for local cowboys and a family pizza party to celebrate Gypsy-fying Jolie's living room. Even Large Marge, their signature pink '78 Chevy Suburban, makes an appearance this season.

On Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, GAC aired the Season 2 finale of JUNK GYPSIES. In "Jolie's Living Room," the Junk Gypsies turn an old windmill into a ceiling fan and use an old overhead projector to create a surprising stencil on the wall. To christen the new living room, they throw a Sikes Family Pizza Party.
