Plot Synopsis
JAG (Judge Advocate General) investigates and prosecutes military crimes -- such as murder, treason, espionage and terrorism -- but it also provides legal and policy advice in all military legal matters regarding administrative law, environmental law, ethics, and operational and international law. The series "JAG" follows the fictitious career of Navy flyboy-turned-lawyer Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr. as he travels the globe to defend Navy personnel accused of military crimes. At first Harm was paired with computer weapons specialist Lt. Meg Austin. Now he works closely with Maj. Col. Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie, and they've shared years of unrequited romantic tension. Harm and Mac may have different methods, techniques and viewpoints, but they both strive to uncover the truth in a complex world. The stories are usually fictional, but sometimes they are influenced by stories ripped directly from recent headlines, such as the attack on the USS Cole, the 9/11 attacks, and the War on Terror.
