Plot Synopsis

INVISIBLE STORIES is a six-part anthology series, with each episode focusing on a single person. Digging deep into the underbelly of familiar neighborhoods in Singapore to shine a light on a side of the island that is rarely seen, this series of short stories reveals the perspectives of several marginalized, alienated characters who live within the same public housing estate. INVISIBLE STORIES had its US. premiere on Friday, August 3, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as HBO Max released all six episodes. Stories include:

"Lian": Following the death of her mother, Lian's life with her teenage autistic son quickly spirals out of control.

"Chuan": After reaching a breaking point, Chuan, a cab driver by day and conjurer by night, is forced to confront his innermost demons.

"June": June wonders if her sacrifices have been worth it after a dangerous incident threatens everything she's worked for.

"Keagan": On the outside, Keagan has everything; but on the inside, nothing is at it seems.

"Sayeed": Unexpected dangers loom over the much-needed, fast friendship of two immigrants.

"Huiyi": Huiyi's obsession with becoming a social media influencer fractures her grip on reality.
