Plot Synopsis

Based on writer/illustrator David Ezra Stein's book series of the same name, INTERRUPTING CHICKEN is an animated series introduces children to the joy of creative writing -- starting with a young little chicken named Piper who has a habit of interrupting storytime! Every time Piper hears a story, she can't help but jump in, ask questions and let her imagination run wild as she tries to fill in details, guess what happens next or insert herself in the middle of the action to help save the day. On Friday, November 18, 2022, Apple TV+ released eight episodes of INTERRUPTING CHICKEN.

On Friday, December 2, 2022, Apple TV+ released "A Chicken Carol," a 26-minute INTERRUPTING CHICKEN holiday special. When Ebenezer Wolf decides to cancel the holidays, Piper teams up with the Three Little Pigs and some ghostly friends to change his mind.

The entire eight-episode second season of INTERRUPTING CHICKEN dropped on Friday, September 29, 2023 on Apple TV+. In addition to seeing the return of beloved characters like The Big Bad Wolf and Captain Claw for Season 2, watch Piper help Cinderella get to the ball, surf with a sea monster, and build a Royal Rollercoaster with the King, among other adventures. In the season opener, "Captain Claw's Clawsome Quest; Cinderella's Story," Piper sets sail with a pirate crew to search for treasure; when a favorite book falls apart, Piper and friends try to piece it back together.
