Plot Synopsis

Ryan Friedlinghaus and his talented team of specialists customize vehicles, including the complete overhaul of an armored truck for billionaire Richard Branson and a crazy custom build for Monster Energy. In the most recent season of INSIDE WEST COAST CUSTOMS, which bowed on Velocity on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 9pm ET, Ryan and his WCC team built a Jeep for Shaquille O'Neal, transformed an Airstream recreational vehicle into a Skype lounge, customized a bus for the video game Firefall, and created many more novel vehicles. On Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on Velocity, Ryan and his skilled team at West Coast Customs returned to Velocity with never-before-seen episodes of INSIDE WEST COAST CUSTOMS featuring some of the most incredible builds created exclusively in his new expansive Burbank custom automotive shop. The all-new episodes showcase the innovative, original work the West Coast Customs team does for a full range of corporate and celebrity clients, including popular brands such as Sriracha and Kmart, as well as superstars including boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya, pop music sensation Justin Bieber and celebrated musician Kid Rock. From the excitement in the shop working on a 1960s Volkswagen Bus to bringing a Raptor Mustang to the biggest automotive show in America, the SEMA Show, there is no shortage of amazing car transformations. This season, the crew customizes a 2016 Lamborghini Aventador for boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya and a 1974 Coupe de Ville Cadillac for musician Kid Rock, which was once owned by country star Waylon Jennings. Justin Bieber also tasks the team to completely retro style a 1991 Ford Explorer for his friend and rapper Post Malone. The premiere season of INSIDE WEST COAST CUSTOMS will also feature out-of-this-world creations including a spicy Sriracha Lexus, featuring a pepper-filled steering wheel, and a complete mobile virtual reality experiential bus for Kmart's customers to travel across the country.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, Velocity premiered a new season of INSIDE WEST COAST CUSTOMS. The season opener, "Green Day's Bookmobile Tour Bus," features a very special, one-of-a-kind vehicle for Grammy(R) Award winning rock band Green Day. When the band was starting out, they toured America in an old bookmobile customized by drummer Tre Cool's father. Friedlinghaus helps kick off the rust for a special partnership Green Day has with the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame and the Wheels for Wishes foundation to bring this relic from the '90s back to life. New episodes this season feature work on several different cars including: a '90s-era Ford Mustang 5.0; a Dodge Viper; a pair of KIAs - a Stinger and a Cadenza; a 1957 Cadillac El Dorado Seville; and a 1969 Camaro for Continental Tires. Additionally, Ryan partners with Lexus to create a BLACK PANTHER inspired LC-500 that would be fit for the King of Wakanda; and fully restores a beloved 1963 Ford Falcon for pop rock sensation Joe Jonas.
