Host James Lipton sits down for one-on-one conversations with Hollywood's most talented performers, directors and creators to learn about their personal lives, big breaks, iconic moments, and never-before-heard stories. Just 10 days before the 2014 ACADEMY AWARDS, James welcomed two Oscar nominees on back-to-back nights at 8pm ET/PT on Bravo: Amy Adams (Wednesday, February 19, 2014) and Matthew McConaughey (Thursday, February 20, 2014). Adams discussed what it was like growing up as one of seven children, her prominent dancing background, and how she met her partner, Darren Le Gallo. Plus, she delved into her roles in JUNEBUG, ENCHANTED, DOUBT and AMERICAN HUSTLE. McConaughey revealed his unorthodox break into acting with his first major role in DAZED & CONFUSED and which film made him a household name in one weekend. In addition, the actor discloses the rigorous homework he conducted for his portrayal of AIDS victim Ron Woodruff in DALLAS BUYERS CLUB. Two days before the Season 16 premiere of LAW & ORDER: SVU, Lipton sat down with the Mariska Hargitay, who describes what it was like to grow up as the daughter of one of the most famous Hollywood couples, Jayne Mansfield and Mickey Hargitay, and how this affected her when auditioning for acting roles. On Monday, September 22, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on Bravo, Mariska also delves into how this character made an impact in her real life. On Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT, Bravo premiered a new installment of INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO, as Lipton sat down to chat with Jim Parsons. In the episode, Parsons delves into his Houston theater roots that have stayed with him throughout his career, his consistent connection to his late father which he experiences in his everyday life, and what he deems his perfectly "boring" relationship with partner Todd Spiewak. On Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT, Bravo premiered a new installment of INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO, as Lipton sat down to chat with Sarah Silverman, who took the audience from her childhood to the established success she endures today. She discusses her struggle with depression as an adolescent, as well as what drove her to entertaining others through humor at an early age. Steve Carrell joined Lipton for a new episode of INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO, which Bravo premiered on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT. Carell reflected on his early days in the business, both as a student and teacher of The Second City, followed by his successful segue from the small screen to the silver screen.

The 23rd season of INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO premiered on Sunday, October 13 from 10-11:30pm ET/7-8:30pm PT on Ovation. The incomparable James Lipton can never be replaced, so Ovation and The Actors Studio have curated an impressive roster of multiple hosts to engage with the guests and the students of The Actors Studio MFA program at Pace University, where the series is filmed at the school's Michael Schimmel Center. Confirmed episodes for the new season include Jane Lynch interviewing David Oyelowo; The Actors Studio co-president Alec Baldwin interviewing Hollywood legend Henry Winkler; Kelsey Grammer interviewing legendary television director James Burrows; The Actors Studio co-president Ellen Burstyn interviewing Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award winner Al Pacino; and more. Scott Woodward, EVP of Programming and Production, Ovation said "We plan to honor the legacy of James Lipton's master class while also exploring the craft with eclectic, talented guests." In the 90-minute season opener, Alec Baldwin interviews actor Henry Winkler who recounts his career, from his role as Fonzie on HAPPY DAYS to his award-winning role as Gene Cousineau on HBO's BARRY

On Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 10-11pm ET/7-8pm PT, Ovation premiered the Season 23 finale of INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO. In the one-hour season ender, Emmy Award-winning actor Uzo Aduba interviews Academy Award-winning actor Lupita Nyong'o.

Lupita Nyong'o is a Kenyan actress, producer and New York Times Bestselling author. She made her feature debut in Steve McQueen's Academy Award winning film 12 YEARS A SLAVE. For her portrayal as Patsey, Nyong'o received the Academy Award as well as multiple accolades including the Screen Actors Guild Award, the Critics' Choice Award, the Independent Spirit Award, and the NAACP Award. Nyong'o stars in US, Jordan Peele's critically acclaimed horror film for Universal Pictures, as both RED and ADELAIDE.

Uzo Aduba has most recently wrapped the FX miniseries MRS. AMERICA portraying The Hon. Shirley Chisholm opposite Cate Blanchett. Aduba is best known for her two-time Emmy Award-winning portrayal as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on Netflix's ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, which just wrapped its eighth and final season. She also won the 2015 SAG Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series and the 2014 Critic's Choice Award for Best Guest Performer in a Comedy Series. She was also nominated for a 2014 Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
