Plot Synopsis

INSIDE PARADISE is a half-hour reality series that follows a group of locals who work in the tourist industry on St. Martin, a Caribbean island whose economy relies almost entirely on tourist dollars. This series follows their struggles over the course of one tourist season as these locals try to pull in a year's worth of income in just four short months. If they can't build a bankroll in high season, they won't make it through the rest of the year. The locals include: Jennifer de Gonzague, a property manager who has 80 vacation properties on the rental market; Dino Jagtiani, one of the most famous chefs on St. Martin, owning and operating two high end restaurants; Danika Liburd, who works for the largest event planning company on the island, specializing in destination weddings; Jeff Boyd, a businessman with investments all over St. Martin, including a marina and shipyard, a country club and a 115-foot mega yacht; Roel Kokkelmans, who runs the largest liquor distribution company on the island; and Ottie McKinley & Dimitri Asselin, who work for a water sports rental company on the island's Orient Beach. Travel Channel aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes.
