Plot Synopsis

In the first season, Lindsey Kurowski and her team at Knotty Pine have set out to restore, renew and polish the historic Oak Knoll Lodge in Big Bear, CA, a 1920s-constructed, four-acre campground fallen on hard times. INN THE WORKS had a sneak peek episode released on discovery+ on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. In the sneak peek, "A Big Risk in Big Bear," Lindsey enlists her siblings and longtime construction crew to restore the Oak Knoll Lodge, starting with the main lodge. But with guests staying at the property during construction, Lindsey must juggle management, the renovation and her siblings. Three months later -- on Saturday, May 22 -- at 8pm ET/PT, DIY Network aired the linear television debut of the same sneak-peek episode. On Thursday, July 15, 2021, INN THE WORKS had its official series debut, as the Magnolia app released all six episodes that same day the app launched. INN THE WORKS had its television series premiere on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 9-10pm ET, the Magnolia Network debuted back-to-back episodes.

The sophomore season of INN THE WORKS debuted on Friday, October 29, 2021, as the Magnolia app and discovery+ released the first episode of the new season. In the season opener, "Here We Go Again," Lindsey and her family begin renovation on the Springs Motel in New Ashford, MA, starting with one of the outdated cabins. A visit to a former ski resort from her childhood inspires Lindsey to transform the cabin into a winter chalet.
