Plot Synopsis

Based on the augmented reality mobile game of the same name, INGRESS: THE ANIMATION is a half-hour anime series that follows two factions waging an all-out battle to control a mysterious substance that can influence human minds. Able to see the memories of anything he touches, Special Agent Makoto Midorikawa is asked to help investigate the scene of a mysterious gas explosion. A Sensitive himself, agent of the resistance Jack Norman uses his extrasensory "flash forward" ability to pursue former XM researcher Sarah Coppola. Sarah and Makoto head to the secret Hulong lab deep in the woods of Kyoto, but they're confronted by Liu's security forces and Jack along the way. INGRESS: THE ANIMATION had its U.S. premiere on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire 11-episode first season.
