Plot Synopsis
Created by, produced by, and starring Andrea Savage, I'M SORRY is a half-hour scripted comedy series that follows seemingly confident comedy writer, wife and mom Andrea, as she navigates the oftentimes self-induced complications of her life alongside her more straitlaced husband Mike and their inquisitive daughter Amelia. Andrea's circle of friends include her writing partner Kyle, her brother David and her divorced parents. On Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 10-11pm ET/PT, truTV premiered I'M SORRY, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the one-hour series opener, "Pilot; Racist Daughter," Andrea discovers a titillating secret about another mom at her daughter's school. Then, Andrea sets up a play date for her daughter, but is horrified to learn that she might be racist. Guest stars for Season 1 include: Ross Bowie, Lizzy Caplan, Jamie Denbo, Rebecca Henderson, Nick Kroll, Paul Sheer, June Squibb, Gillian Vigman, and Kulap Vilaysack.
Season 2 of I'M SORRY premiered on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on truTV. This season, Andrea lands herself in new cringeworthy scenarios as she questions her theoretical market value as a prostitute, learns the downsides to having a child that can read, and discovers that comedy bits can sometimes go too far. Through it all, she is joined by her husband Mike, their inquisitive daughter Amelia, and her divorced parents. In the season opener, "Quietly Bleeding," Amelia begins kindergarten at a new school, and Andrea and Mike learn what it's like to have other people influence her life. Plus, Andrea wonders how much she would make as a prostitute. Season 2 guest stars include: Adam Scott, Lennon Parham, June Diane Raphael, Scott Aukerman, Rob Huebel, Anne Ramsay, Kurt Braunohler, Rose Mclver, Brian Stepanek, and Rich Eisen.
