Plot Synopsis

I SOLVED A MURDER uses first-person interviews, re-enactments, and archival photos, video and audio, sometimes including the original 911 calls, to tell the stories of ordinary, everyday people who solved murder cases. Each 60-minute episode features a single case, including those solved by: Adam Bruckner, a professional soccer player, who provided helpful information to the Philadelphia police when the dismembered body of a woman is found hanging above a river; Sheila Wysocki, a woman turned private investigator, who found the person who raped and brutally murdered her college roommate more than 20 years earlier; Melinda Elkins, who spent seven years to prove the innocence of her husband after he was convicted of murdering her mother and sexually assaulting her niece; Melinda Dawson, who helped solve her mother's murder; and many more regular people who helped police close murder cases in extraordinary ways. The debut of this series was delayed multiple times, with the series originally scheduled to bow on January 6, 2013 and then again on January 15, 2013, before finally premiering one month later on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 10pm ET.
