Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by LeBron James, I PROMISE is a short-form documentary series that takes an intimate look inside the highs and lows of year one at LeBron James' I Promise School, serving the most at-risk students and families in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The series kicks off with a new school year, which brings about new hopes and dreams for students, faculty, and the community. During this series, the I Promise faculty share their approach: making sure students learn and eat well, while helping parents get their GEDs. In the I Promise School, students participate in the "I Promise" circle, where they can share and learn about their feelings. I PROMISE premiered on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Quibi released three 7-minute episodes on the day the streaming service launched.
