Plot Synopsis

Using cinematic re-enactments, interviews with police detectives and first-person accounts (some from prison), I FAKED MY OWN DEATH uncovers how this country's most notorious fakers planned and pulled off their elaborate "deaths." Sometimes while executing their evil plans, these criminals went to extremes: murdering a hitchhiker, digging up a corpse, or parachuting out of a crashing plane. Each 60-minute episode highlights two stories, from the planning stages to the time authorities ultimately cracked each case, finding the biggest lies to ever come through our country's legal system.
