Plot Synopsis
Inspired by true events in the life of Fauna Hodel, I AM THE NIGHT is a six-episode limited series that tells the story of a teenage girl who is given away at birth and grows up outside of Reno, Nevada. Fauna lives more-or-less comfortably with the mysteries of her origin, until one day she makes a discovery that leads her to question everything. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets of her past, she meets a ruined reporter, Jay Singletary, haunted by the case that undid him. Together, they follow a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Los Angeles gynecologist, her grandfather Dr. George Hodel, a man involved in some of Hollywood's darkest debauchery, and possibly, its most infamous unsolved crime. Executive produced by series star Chris Pine, I AM THE NIGHT had a sneak-peek presentation on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT, immediately following the 2019 SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS on TNT and TBS. The following night -- Monday, January 28 from 9-10:10pm -- TNT debuted the official series premiere, with a special simulcast on TBS. Later episodes of I AM THE NIGHT debut on subsequent Mondays at 9pm on TNT.
