Plot Synopsis

Created and executive produced by showrunner Matthew Scott Kane, HYSTERIA! is a one-hour teen horror drama series. When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the "Satanic Panic" of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town's sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported "supernatural activity" triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them. The series opens with a popular highschooler going missing, and a a struggling heavy metal band called Dethkrunch -- with Dylan, Jordy, and Spud -- rides that momentum to sell concert tickets. All eight episodes of HYSTERIA! dropped on Friday, October 18, 2024 on Peacock. USA Network and SYFY will simulcast the first episode at 10:30pm ET/PT later that same day. USA Network airs the linear television debut of a new episode each Friday thereafter.
