Season 1
Plot Synopsis
Executive produced by Charlize Theron, HYPERDRIVE is a 10-episode tournament series where elite street racers from around the world test their limits in supercharged custom cars on the biggest, baddest automotive obstacle course ever built. Hosted by Rutledge Wood, Mike Hill, Michael Bisping, and Lindsay Czarniak, the series opens with four different qualifying races (Episodes 1-4), each one featuring six new drivers. Three racers from each Qualifier advance to the Knockout Rounds (Episodes 5-7), where two racers are eliminated in each of three episodes. Before the Semifinals, HYPERDRIVE features a Wild Card race (Episode 8), providing new life for a few old favorites, who return to the course for a series of head-to-head battles. The series ends with the Semifinals (Episode 9) and Finals (Episode 10), where a champion is crowned. Sometimes described as NINJA WARRIOR with cars, HYPERDRIVE features these drivers: Corinna Graff (Mercedes E-Class Coupe), Brittany Williams (Nissan 350Z), Stacey-Lee May (BMW 325), Sara Haro (Ford Mustang), Atsushi Taniguchi (Toyota Crown), Kisaragi Awano (Toyota JZX100 Cresta), Jordan Martin (Lamborghini Huracan), Fielding Shredder (Nissan 240 SX), Joao Barion (Mustang Fastback), Michael Pettiford (Chevrolet Corvette), and more. Netflix released the entire first season of HYPERDRIVE on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
