Plot Synopsis
HUNTER STREET is a half-hour mystery/adventure series that follows the journey of five foster kids on a quest to find their missing parents, Erik and Kate Hunter, after they mysteriously disappear. After spending his first night in his new home, Max, along with new siblings Tess, Anika, Sal and Daniel wake up to find their foster parents, Erik and Kate have vanished. In order to crack the case, the siblings set out on a quest for clues, leading them on an epic and suspenseful family adventure, including boat racing through canals, exploring secret tunnels and uncovering lost treasures. With obstacles at every turn, they must also fight off old family rivals and duplicitous heirs in order to solve the mystery. On Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 9:30pm ET/PT -- immediately following the 2017 KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS -- Nickelodeon debuted a sneak-peek episode of HUNTER STREET, two days before its official series premiere on Monday, March 13 at 7pm. HUNTER STREET was co-developed with the Nickelodeon Netherlands series, DE LUDWIGS.
The sophomore season of HUNTER STREET premiered on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 7-8pm ET/PT on Nickelodeon, with a simulcast on TeenNick. Season 1 followed the five Hunter siblings -- street-smart Max; independent and resourceful Tess; resident genius Sal; free-spirited Anika; and fiercely protective Daniel -- as they solved the mystery of their missing foster parents. With the family reunited, the second season kicks off with a cryptic box delivered to the Hunter home and features new quests, more mysteries and new Hunter siblings. In the 60-minute season opener, "The Package; The Arrest," the Hunters discover a cryptex, but Erik takes it before they can open it. Max hears from his birth parents. The police accuse Erik of art theft and take him away. Daniel uses his new job to look for evidence to save Erik.
Season 3 of HUNTER STREET was scheduled to have its U.S. premiere on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 7:30pm ET/PT on Nickelodeon, but at the last minute the season debut was delayed by one week to Monday, July 29 at 7:30pm on a new channel: TeenNick. In the season opener, "The Birthday Gift," a new mystery begins when Anika is sent an unusual birthday present: a miniature pyramid wrapped inside a torn treasure map; Sal discovers that Anika's gift is tied to a long-lost Aztec treasure and an ancient curse.
