Plot Synopsis

Instead of focusing on couples looking for homes, this spinoff of HOUSE HUNTERS follows families as they tour three for-sale homes and decide which one is best for their future. On Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered the pilot of HOUSE HUNTERS FAMILY, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Bungalow to the Burbs," a Los Angeles couple and their three daughters are on the search for a house in Santa Clarita, CA that will provide them with more space than their current bungalow in the city. An updated kitchen and large backyard are must-haves, but the girls may not agree on the bedroom situation.

Nine months later -- on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT -- HGTV debuted the official series premiere of HOUSE HUNTERS FAMILY. In this new episode, "Messing Around in Colorado," a fun family of six looks for a big open-concept home just outside of Denver to accommodate their growing family. However, while the parents are on the lookout for something turnkey and safe, their young boys are interested in finding extra space where they can make a mess. Will they find a home that satisfies everyone? New episodes of HOUSE HUNTERS FAMILY premiered the rest of the week at 10pm, through Friday, August 4.

HGTV premiered the second season of HOUSE HUNTERS FAMILY on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Water Views in Winter Garden, FL," a family of four is looking to buy a new home as close as possible to the local lakes in Winter Garden, Florida. They're ready for a lifestyle closer to the water but finding a home that's both move-in ready and has great lake views is going to be more challenging than they all expect.
