Plot Synopsis

Written by Gwyneth Hughes and directed by Richard Laxton, HONOUR tells the tragic true story of Banaz Mahmod, a London woman killed by her family because of a relationship they considered shameful -- a so-called honor killing. After learning her colleagues failed to protect Banaz, despite five reports of threats to her life, DCI Caroline Goode tirelessly pursues justice and attempts to bring Banaz's killers to justice. After debuting as a two-part program in the UK, HONOUR had its U.S. premiere on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, as Britbox released it as a an 88-minute movie.
