Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Nate Burleson, HOLLYWOOD SQUARES is a classic game show in which two contestants play tic-tac-toe to win money and prizes. The "board" for the game is a vertical stack of open-faced cubes, each occupied by a celebrity seated at a desk and facing the contestants. The celebrities are asked questions and the contestants judge the legitimacy of their answers to win the game. Drew Barrymore, who is in the famed Center Square, is joined by a panel of celebrities, including Tyra Banks, Julie Bowen, Yvette Nicole Brown, Whitney Cummings, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Tiffany Haddish, Oliver Hudson, Pete Holmes, Gabriel Iglesias, Jo Koy, Jay Leno, Justin Long, Kevin Nealon, RuPaul, Andrew Rannells, Kristen Schaal, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Sheryl Underwood and Jimmy O. Yang. Each one-hour episode features two half-hour games.

Originally scheduled to premiere on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 8pm ET/PT, CBS delayed the debut for a week "in light of the ongoing tragic wildfires in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas." HOLLYWOOD SQUARES officially premiered on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 8pm ON CBS. The season opener, "It's a Dysfunctional Family Show; The Mayor of the Sun," features Tyra Banks, Julie Bowen, Whitney Cummings, Tiffany Haddish, Thomas Lennon, Ms. Pat, Jeff Ross, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Tichina Arnold, Nicole Byer, Drew Carey, Pete Holmes, Debi Mazar, Bobby Moynihan and Chelsea Peretti.
