Plot Synopsis

Two best friends and roommates, Adam and Joe, are recent college grads struggling to pay rent in their hometown of Holliston, Massachusetts, as they dream of becoming big-time horror filmmakers by making SHINPADS, an undead soccer team movie. In the meantime, they work together at a local cable advertising company, where they make some of the worst cable commericals anyone has ever seen but get free access to equipment for their movie. At the ad company, the guys work for Lance, a wannabe rocker who is holding on to his rock-star lifestyle. Adam takes care of a mentally handicapped cat, Axl, and he's a hopeless romantic who has been waiting for childhood sweetheart Corri to take him back after she dumped him two years ago. Plus, Adam deals with Oderus, a foul-smelling and offensive figment of his imagination that has lived in his closet and helped him through life's most difficult dilemmas. Joe is an idea-man who doesn't know how to think ahead, and he's in a stable happy relationship with Laura after being setup by Adam and Corri years ago. After returning to live Holliston while working as a nurse at Boston Medical Center, Corri immediately friend-zoned Adam. Laura, who grew up in Colombia, also graduated from nursing school, and even though she's adorable and sweet on the outside, she has an horrifically twisted art portfolio. Following a Season 1 marathon from 2-8pm ET on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, FEARnet debuted the second season of HOLLISTON at 10pm ET/7pm PT the same night. Season 2 opened with Corri finding horror icon Kane Hodder in her hospital after a failed suicide, so Adam and Joe cast him in their SHINPADS film. Other guest stars in the second season included Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, David Naughton, Danielle Harris, Bailee Madison and James Gunn.
