Plot Synopsis

This version of HOARDERS features original stories of people who obsessively hoard to the point that collecting overwhelms their families and their lives. Whether facing eviction, divorce, broken relationships or the removal of minor children from their homes, all the hoarders are in desperate need of help. HOARDERS: FAMILY SECRETS follows them as they embark on the biggest transformations of their lives, revealing their secret hoards to loved ones for the first time. The experts featured are Dr. Suzanne Chabaud, Dr. Robin Zasio, Dr. Michael Tompkins, Dr. Scott Hannan, Dr. Melva Green and Mark Pfeffer. Cleanup and organizing team include Dorothy Breininger, Matt Paxton, Cory Chalmers, Standolyn Robertson and Darnita Payden. The series kicks-off with a one-hour special focusing on a Massachusetts family and features live segments culminating in an all-live intervention. The episode also features the story of a second, recidivist hoarder who faces jail time if he doesn't pass a final city inspection.

Lifetime premiered the season finale of HOARDERS: FAMILY SECRETS on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season ender, "Laura," a woman's hoarding has forced her partner to sleep in the garage, and her teenage daughter to share her bed.
