Plot Synopsis

Each weekday (Mon-Fri at Noon ET/9am PT) on this one-hour live program, host 'Mad Dog' Russo discusses the latest news about Major League Baseball (MLB), offering his opinions, talking with analysts and reporters, and interviewing players and club personnel. Each episode opens with "The Brushback," Russo's opening monologue peppered with the day's biggest headlines. Then, his "Coast to Coast" segment includes contributions from MLB Network analysts Al Leiter, Dan Plesac, Harold Reynolds and Bill Ripken, insider Tom Verducci, and national and local beat writers and broadcasters. Russo pitches "Curtain Calls" next, talking about game calls from the previous day. Finally, each show closes with "Man Bites Dog," a voicemail segment during which viewers give Russo their feedback.
