Plot Synopsis

HELLSING ULTIMATE is a series of nine anime programs, first released on home video, that follows vampire Alucard, the loyal servant of the last descendant of the Hellsing bloodline, as he and the Hellsing Organization defend the British Empire. After the death of her father Arthur, Integra ascends to the head of the Hellsing Organization, but her uncle Richard becomes jealous and tries to kill her. In doing so, he awakens Alucard, who kills Richard's men. Before Alucard can kill Richard, Integra finishes the job, becomes the last Hellsing, and earns Alucard's allegiance. During a mission to eradicate a vampire priest and his minions, Alucard is forced into a difficult decision when he encounters Seras, an injured police woman, who he turns and makes his loyal servant. Later, Father Alexander Anderson and Alucard clash for the first time. Then, two daring vampire brothers lead a violent raid on the Hellsing compound. The carnage is great, but Alucard and company manage to gain a key piece of information while turning the battle's tide. Following this attack, the Hellsing Organization recruits mercenaries, and Integra's suspicions concerning the origins of their enemy are confirmed. After the first installment was released on home video in Japan (February 10, 2006) and the United States (December 5, 2006), Adult Swim aired the U.S. television debut of this series as part of its Toonami programming block at 3am ET/PT early morning Sunday/late night Saturday on September 14/13, 2014.
