Plot Synopsis

Using re-creations, actual photographs and video, and first-person interviews with law enforcement, witnesses and survivors, this one-hour true-crime series focuses on houses that have each been home to multiple harrowing crimes. Bouts of unexplained insanity that ended in bloody rampages, mysterious disappearances, strange "accidents," and murder after horrific murder...all within one house's four walls. Each 60-minute episode of HELL HOUSE features a different home, including: the "murder mansion" in Libertyville, IL, outside Chicago, where Bruce and Darlene Rouse were found brutally murdered in June 1980 and mob gangster Robert Plummer was killed in 1982; an infamous house in Old Louisville, KY, where a doctor experimented on patients, a demented tenant beat his landlord to death, and two lovers were driven to murder; and many more of the bloodiest addresses in America.
