Plot Synopsis

Prince Harry joins a charity expedition with four British soldiers wounded in the conflict in Afghanistan, as they attempt to make the first unsupported trek to the North Pole by wounded servicemen. This two-part documentary follows the team in a year of training and planning that ends deep in the Arctic Circle, where Prince Harry joins his fellow servicemen: Captain Guy Disney, who lost a leg to an RPG; Sergeant Steve Young, whose back was so severely damaged by an IED blast that he was told he might never walk again; Captain Martin Hewitt, whose right arm is paralyzed after taking a bullet to his right shoulder; and Private Jaco van Gass, whose arm was amputated after being hit by a grenade. BBC America aired the U.S. premiere of this program on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 3pm ET.
