Plot Synopsis

The Gold family and their employees never know what to expect when people's personal items are on the line and conflicts escalate. American Jewelry & Loan is a large, lucrative pawn shop where people bring in everything from alligators to prosthetic limbs. Every pawn ticket has a story and there are over 40,000 stories to tell in this warehouse. truTV aired back-to-back episodes in a test run on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11pm. The ratings were high enough, and the program came back as a series on truTV on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10pm ET. truTV continued airing new episodes and presented the Season 7 premiere on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 9pm ET, which was followed by the show's 100th episode, just weeks later, on April 16th, with an episode revealing that an employee may be playing favorites, and Ashley vowed to get to the bottom of things. HARDCORE PAWN returned for its 8th season on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, as Les was devastated when he suspected Seth of doing deals behind his back with a competitor. After a month-and-a-half break, HARDCORE PAWN returned for its Season 8 Summer premiere on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on truTV, immediately followed by a 30-minute special, "Fan Favorites," a compilation of the 20 funniest, most unbelievable, biggest, craziest, and most memorable moments and customers the Golds have encountered in the show's history. On Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, truTV aired the Season 8 finale of HARDCORE PAWN. In the conclusion to the 8th season, the Golds' investigation into the million-dollar art deal takes more twists and turns, but, eventually Les shakes hands on the biggest purchase in store history, as he agrees to buy painting by Picasso, Miro and Chagall from an odd couple who first appeared in the season's penultimate episode. Then, a shocking phone call reveals the art dealers may be fraudsters and the mega-deal is in jeopardy.

Seth gambles on a piece of Detroit history, and Ashley's patience is put to the test when dealing with a cutsomer and hi memories of hit long lost cow.
