Plot Synopsis
What happens to a circle of friends when the couple at the center of the group breaks up? Dave and Alex were the perfect couple, and they were the gravitational center, drawing their friends in and holding them together. Now that they've split, does this group have the stuff to stay together? Or will they have to choose sides? Fortunately, Dave and Alex have agreed to remain friends, but that doesn't mean they can both go on the annual ski trip. Now, Alex is a shop owner and Dave is an aspiring restaurateur who runs a food truck called "Steak Me Home Tonight." Their group of friends include: singleton Penny, who is always in pursuit of, but never quite finding, the right guy; Max, their perpetually underemployed gay friend; and crazy-in-love husband and wife duo Brad and Jane, who is also Alex's sister. Early in Season 3, which bowed on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, Alex and Dave try dating again by keeping it "cazsh," while Penny's unresolved feelings for Dave are revealed. Plus, Brad, who was fired from his job in the Season 2 finale, turns to Max for tips on surviving underemployment.
