Plot Synopsis
HANDCRAFTED HOTELS is a half-hour docuseries that follows hoteliers in cities and towns across the country that uniquely capture the nostalgia, charm and character of their new hometowns. In this season, hotelier Ben Weprin and his team of artists, craftspeople and designers with Graduate Hotels create custom stays that celebrate the university spirit and provide guests with a one-of-a-kind, nostalgic experience. In the series opener, "Graduate Nashville," Ben reveals his approach to creating the bespoke Graduate Nashville Hotel. His team of designers, artists and craftspeople share insights into their processes that celebrate Nashville's music identity and Vanderbilt University's collegiate traditions. HANDCRAFTED HOTELS premiered on Friday, April 15, 2022, as the Magnolia App released the first episode. HANDCRAFTED HOTELS made its linear television debut with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 3-4pm ET on Magnolia Network.
The sophomore season of HANDCRAFTED HOTELS premiered on Friday, December 30, 2022 on the Magnolia App. In the season opener, "Commodore Perry Estate," the Jazz Age roars back to life in this stunning 1920s home, a storied European-style mansion lovingly re-imagined by a team of artists, makers, and historians in Austin, TX at the Commodore Perry Estate hotel.

Season 2 of HANDCRAFTED HOTELS made its linear television debut on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 3pm ET on Magnolia Network. In this episode, "Graduate Eugene," Ben Weprin explores how his love of athletics inspired the quirky aesthetics at Graduate Eugene, an Oregon-based hotel honoring the waffle iron pattern that gave birth to the modern running shoe.
