Plot Synopsis
From Academy Award winner John Ridley and executive produced by star Idris Elba, GUERRILLA is a six-part limited series that tells a love story set against the backdrop of one of the most politically explosive times in U.K. history. It tells the story of a couple whose relationship and values are tested when they liberate a political prisoner and form a radical underground cell in 1970s London. Their ultimate target becomes the Black Power Desk, a true-life, secretive counter-intelligence unit within the Special Branch dedicated to crushing all forms of black activism. While the series is set against a background of social and political activism, at its heart GUERRILLA is about a relationship under pressure, and the reality that for any couple there comes a point when the choices they make have real and lasting consequences. On Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT, Showtime aired the U.S. debut of GUERRILLA only three days its world premiere. The series opens in 1971 in an age of open racism, fervent nationalism and anti-establishment passion, as two politically engaged and idealistic lovers fight back against the injustice and prejudice they face on a daily basis.

Showtime debuted the finale of GUERRILLA on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 9-11pm ET/PT, showing the U.S. premiere of back-to-back episodes. In the penultimate episode (9pm), in the wake of a tragic loss, Marcus and Jas' relationship is tested. In London, meanwhile, the Black Power Desk's reign of terror hits new heights -- with Cullen now at the helm. Marginalized and overlooked, Pence plots his escape. Then, in the finale (10pm), Dhari and Marcus fight for the position of alpha male. Jas gathers materials for the final mission. Unbeknownst to Jas, Marcus gets news that threatens to destroy their relationship -- and their final mission.
