Hosted by Ty Pennington, GROWING AMERICA: A JOURNEY TO SUCCESS follows teams of MBA students from the MBAs Across America (MBAxAmerica) program, who are given one week to use their expertise to transform businesses and positively affect communities in cities across the United States. Each team of students has just five days to learn a new business, identify key issues, and develop a solution that the business owner is comfortable implementing. They also get bonus advice from a surprise celebrity expert in the industry. From a Denver tech company seeking to revolutionize the nonprofit world and a barbershop striving to become a community centerpiece in Detroit to a family owned cafe in Little Rock aiming to become a leader in the local organic food movement, each half-hour episode follows the teams supporting three different businesses, and a companion digital series shows them helping two other companies.
