Plot Synopsis
Detective Nick Burkhardt starts to see people as beasts and animals from Grimm's Fairy Tales, and he discovers that his mission -- and legacy -- is to protect humans from these beasts. To solve his cases, Nick works with his partner, Det. Hank Green, and Eddie Monroe, a reformed werewolf who mastered the dark arts. And Nick may even need some help from his Aunt Marie, who is thought to have some secrets. His attempts to shield his fiancee, Juliette Silverton, and Hank from the hazards of his new life have reached a crisis, leaving Juliette in a mysterious coma and Hank on the verge of a mental breakdown. As Nick develops his ability to harness his inner Grimm, he begins to question what he once knew, never more so than when he is reunited with his mother. GRIMM returned for its midseason premiere on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, picking up with the show's November cliffhanger, when Nick learned from Monroe about Juliette and Captain Renard's obsession with each other, an attraction induced by Adalind's spell. In the second half of Season 2, Nick sought revenge, while investigating his own crime, Rosalee returned, and Nick's brother came back to town on family business. Season 3, which debuted on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT on NBC, picked up with the finale of the previous season, with Portland's newest wave of the undead overrunning the city and Nick transforming into a zombie after being captured by his brother. Now, in the new season, Juliette, Monroe, and Rosalee get Hank to help them fend off the zombie hoard, while trying to figure out what happened to Nick. Meanwhile, Captain Renard, knowing the truth, takes measures to rescue Nick from the clutches of Eric. NBC aired the Season 4 premiere of GRIMM on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Thanks for the Memories," Nick is faced with losing his identity as a Grimm after the events at Monroe and Rosalee's wedding. Hank and Juliette join Nick as they try to figure out how to deal with Trubel, as she faces the consequences of a heinous murder she committed. Meanwhile, when Wu arrives at the scene, his discoveries bring back images of his traumatic encounter. A new threat arrives in Portland to steal the memories of its victims, leaving them in a state of dementia. Elsewhere, Captain Renard's life hangs in the balance and Adalind falls into Prince Viktor's trap as she desperately searches for her baby. Season 5 of GRIMM premiere don Friday, October 30, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on NBC. In the season opener, "The Grimm Identity," things have never been more chaotic for Nick in the wake of his mother's beheading and Juliette's death. Having lost so much, Nick must dig deep and decide what type of person he wants to be, while also coming to grips with fathering a child with his once sworn enemy, Adalind. His search for the truth leads him to FBI Agent Chavez and puts him at odds with those close to him. On Friday, January 29, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, NBC debuted the mid-season premiere of GRIMM. In the winter premiere, "Eve of Destruction," Nick and the gang are still reeling from the scope of the ambush and the surprise return of "Juliette," but not everything is as it seems. In light of the heightened Wesen violence, Monroe and Rosalee seek answers from the Wesen Council. Meanwhile, Trubel has some information for Nick that will help him get what he is looking for. The sixth and final season of GRIMM premiered on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT with the battle fans have long been waiting for -- Nick versus Capt. Renard. As for events leading into the final season, the nefarious forces of Black Claw have been silenced and Nick faces an all too familiar foe in Capt. Sean Renard. Now in the seat of power as the mayor elect of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order. Nick must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind. It will take the full force of Nick and his allies to find a way to bring the peace. Meanwhile, Monroe and Rosalee grapple with bringing a child into a new and tumultuous world, and Eve faces unsettling identity issues as her former self lurks below the surface. Also returning are Russell Hornsby and Reggie Lee. In the season opener, "Fugitive," following the massacre in Nick's loft, Capt. Renard is hell bent on eliminating him once and for all. Hank and Wu head back to the precinct to keep an eye on the Captain and help give the gang the upper hand. Meanwhile, Monroe and Rosalee grapple with staying in Portland now that their family will be expanding. Elsewhere, Eve suffers the side effects of the mysterious stick's healing power.
