Plot Synopsis

Host Jackie Tranchida travels across the United States, hanging out at tailgate parties before America's biggest college football games. Along the way, she takes in the sights, sounds and food at each stop, while working with hometown chefs and local farmers to put a new spin on classic tailgate fare. Eleven months after THE GRILL IRON debuted as a short-form web series on tastemade.com, Cooking Channel aired the series' linear premiere on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 12:30pm ET/9:30am PT, combining two webisodes into a single half-hour television episode.
