Plot Synopsis

Inspired by the true events, THE GREAT HEI$T is a one-hour drama series that follows the assault on Colombia's Bank of the Republic, also known as "The robbery of the century" perpetrated in 1994. A band of thieves stole US $33million and put the whole country upside down. Professional thief and con man Chayo is struggling financially and must convince an old friend to plan a heist on the Bank of the Republic. Chayo and Molina recruit a team while finalizing details for the bank heist, facing multiple challenges that threaten their carefully constructed plan. As the thieves start executing the heist, an unexpected difficulty involving the bank's safe significantly delays their progress and tensions arise. Netflix released all six episodes of THE GREAT HEI$T on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
