Plot Synopsis

Using re-enactments and first-person interviews with law enforcement, journalists, and friends and family members, this one-hour docuseries chronicles investigations for which police are forced to reconstruct the life of the victim piece by piece in order to uncover the shocking truth of their death. In the series opener, "Murder in the Chat Room," in the wake of a broken marriage, 28-year-old Samantha Lezark's struggle to find love again has a fatal ending. Now, investigators must follow her digital trail through different chat rooms to uncover her killer.

Season 2 of GRAVE MYSTERIES premiered on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Ultimate Betrayal," parents return home from a trip to find blood everywhere, signs of struggle and their teenage daughter missing. Police combing the desert for her stumble on her charred remains digital clues soon lead them to a shocking secret and a deadly betrayal.

In the season ender, "Death on the Highway," 28-year-old Michael Sandy is an interior designer living in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Michael loves music and making new friends on the internet. But in 2006, Michael's habit of trusting strangers he meets on the web will put his life in jeopardy.
