Plot Synopsis

America's top comedians perform live from New York's Gotham Comedy Club. Each one-hour episode is hosted by a different comedian, including funny people like Orlando Jones, Mario Cantone, Robert Kelly, and Susie Essman, with each program featuring four or five different acts. On Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 10pm ET/7pm PT, AXS TV first aired GOTHAM COMEDY LIVE as a one-hour special, with host Bryan Callen and comedians Jesse Joyce, Jessica Kirson, Angelo Lozada, Rodney Laney & Jimmy Failla. GOTHAM COMEDY LIVE returned for its third season on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10pm ET/7pm PT on AXS TV, with Jim Breur the featured comedian in the season opener. The following week Jackie 'The Joke Man' Martling headlined the show. On Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10pm ET/7pm PT, AXS TV broadcast the Season 4 premiere of GOTHAM COMEDY LIVE, hosted by Bobcat Goldthwait, with comedy sets from Buddy Fitzpatrick, Jade Catta-Preta, Andrew Kennedy & Monroe Martin. In the season opener, legendary comedian and film actor George Wallace and four of America's best comedians -- Gary Valentine, Ophira Eisenberg, Mick Diflo & Chris Cotton -- perform standup from New York's Gotham Comedy Club in an outrageous hour of live and uncensored comedy. David Hasselhoff hosts the sixth-season premiere, serving as emcee for the evening, while bringing along his trademark wit and self-deprecating charm. The Hoff is joined by Ester Steinberg, Mike Burton, Marcus Banks and Paul Hooper.

Season 7 of GOTHAM COMEDY LIVE premiered on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 10pm ET/7pm PT on AXS TV. In the season opener, Cheech & Chong are joined by Gary Cannon, Erica Spera, Joe DeRosa & Mike James.
