Plot Synopsis

The series revolves around four older single women (three widows and one divorcee) who share a house in Miami. The home is owned by widowed Blanche Devereaux, who has been who was joined by fellow widow Rose Nylund and divorcee Dorothy Zbornak after they both responded to a room-for-rent ad on the bulletin board of a local grocery store. In the pilot, Dorothy's 80-year-old widowed mother Sophia Petrillo joins the trio after the retirement home where she lived burned down. Together, the four women live as roommates and experience the joys and angst of their golden years.
