Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, GOD. FAMILY. FOOTBALL. is a half-hour docuseries that follows legendary high school football coach Denny Duron, as he returns as head coach at Evangel Christian Academy for the first time in 30 years. The series features diverse personal stories of Evangel's players, coaching staff, and the broader Shreveport community, set against the dramatic backdrop of the 2022 Louisiana high school football season. With the perennial high school football powerhouse -- 14 state championships in the last 20 years -- coming off their worst season in school history, redemption is everyone's goal. Pastor Denny Duron has returned to the head coaching position to lead this talented group of kids, with dreams of playing in college and the NFL, into prominence on the field, while molding them into future leaders off of it. As the team faces struggle and triumph on and off the field, they are united by coach Duron's formula for success: "God first, family second, and football third." All six episodes of the first season dropped on Friday, September 1, 2023 on Freevee.

The sophomore season of GOD. FAMILY. FOOTBALL. premiered on Friday, October 11, 2024 on Fox Nation, which released the first three episodes of the eight-part new season. A new episode drops weekly on Fridays through November 29. Season 2 continues to explore the human spirit, teamwork and timeless wisdom of legendary Shreveport, Louisiana high school football coach Pastor Denny Duron, who continues to inspire and develop champions by putting God first, family second and football third. Told through the eyes of members of Shreveport, Louisiana's Evangel Christian Academy football team, the series spotlights real-life challenges the players must overcome on and off the field in their quest for a 15th state championship title. From ill family members to peer pressures to struggles at home and dating for the first time, the series follows the Evangel Eagles through practices, strategy sessions, dates, homecoming and all the ups and downs of high school life.
