Plot Synopsis
Sportscaster Ryan King recently lost his wife in a car accident, and his boss, Stephen, forces him to join a support group and emotionally heal before he gets back on the radio. Within one day, Ryan hijacks the meeting and suddenly the downtrodden are cajoled into playing a game of "who's got the best sob story?" Ryan's support group includes: Lauren, the leader of the Transitions support group who is wound tightly but usually manages to keep her cool; Anne, a feisty and recently widowed woman stuck in the anger stage of grief; Yolanda, whose parents are divorcing; Don, whose wife left him after he went bankrupt; and Owen, whose brother has been in a coma following a skiing accident. NBC will air a sneak peek episode of this series on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, immediately following coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics, and then present the official series premiere on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 9pm.
