Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Tina Fey and series creator Meredith Scardino, GIRLS5EVA is a half-hour comedy series that centers on a one-hit-wonder girl group from the '90s that reunites after getting sampled by a young rapper, giving their pop star dreams one more shot. They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents, and shoulder pain, but can't they also be Girls5eva? One member, Dawn, is now a bit restless in life managing her family's small Italian restaurant in Queens. When the opportunity arises, she reluctantly gets the band back together for a Girls5eva reunion...and it might just be exactly what she needed. The first episode of GIRLS5EVA dropped on Thursday, May 6, 2021 on Peacock, with a new episode debuting each Thursday through June 24.

On Thursday, May 5, 2022, Peacock released the first three episodes of GIRLS5EVA's second season. A new episode dropped each Thursday through June 9. Season 2 opens with Girls5eve getting a record deal, and the women discovering how much they're willing to sacrifice for it. Then, Girl5eve adjusts to being back in the studio, but Dawn worries about her role as the band's songwriter. Returning guest stars include: Andrew Rannells, Ashley Park, Daniel Breaker, Erika Henningsen, Janine Brito, Jeremiah Craft, Jonathan Hadary, and Julius Conceicao. New guest stars for Season 2 are: Amber Ruffin, Amy Sedaris, Chad L. Coleman, Drew and Jonathan Scott, Grey Henson, Heidi Gardner, Hoda Kotb, James Monroe Iglehart, John Lutz, Judy Gold, Neil Flynn, Mario Cantone, Pat Battle, Piter Marek, and Tim Meadows.

For its third season, GIRLS5EVA moved to Netflix, which released all six episodes of Season 3. The members of the late '90s girl-group Girls5eva -- Dawn, Wickie, Summer, and Gloria -- have reunited and recorded a new album, "Returnity," so it's time for the next logical step: a comeback tour. With no plan, tour manager, or venues secured, the ladies pile into a van and hit the great unknown, doing their damnedest to promote their album and get back on top. In the process, Girls5eva will grapple with life on the road, see their relationships tested, play a billionaire's birthday party, sow their oats, confront parents they believe held them back, cross paths with the biggest pop star on the planet, and question if they really want "the big time" again. Will Girls5eva fast-track their comeback and sell their tour documentary in the process? Or will the road destroy them?
