Plot Synopsis

GHOST HUNTERS is a reality series that follows TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), a close-knit organization of volunteer paranormal researchers, who are ordinary people investigating and attempting to debunk claims of otherworldly activity. In their investigations all over the U.S. and Europe, these self-proclaimed skeptics have managed to expose some of the most frighteningly compelling evidence of paranormal phenomenon ever seen on television! GHOST HUNTERS has featured speaking entities, mysteriously moving furniture and ghostly visages. For Season 8, after TAPS bid a fond farewell to Grant just four months earlier, Jason and the crew went to: Charleston, SC, the city that won GHOST HUNTERS' America's Hometown Ghost Hunt contest, where they investigate the historic Old City Jail, the site where America's first female serial killer, Lavinia Fisher, spent her last few days alive before her execution in 1820; Georgia's Camp Rutledge, the location of a FRIDAY THE 13TH movie shoot, where they search for "elemental spirits" created by nature, not humans; New Orleans, where they try to give closure to families of the victims of the 1973 Jimani Lounge Massacre during which 32 men died in a horrific arson attack; Alexandria Zoo in Alexandria, LA, where they check out unexplained occurrences that remind zoo staffers of pranks pulled by their dearly departed zookeeper; and many more sites where people feel spirits. Syfy aired the Season 9 Fall premiere of this series on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, the first of the final four episodes of the 16-episode season, which kicked off with an installment featuring TAPS traveling to Monticello, AR, to investigate a mansion with a dark history. GHOST HUNTERS returned for its tenth season on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on Syfy, immediately following an all-day marathon (9am-9pm) of encore episodes. In the Season 10 premiere, Jason Hawes and his TAPS team travel to the Wild Turkey Distillery in Kentucky, where it is believed that the spirits of the founding family members are behind certain inexplicable activity. Season 11 of GHOST HUNTERS premiered on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Syfy. In the 13-episode eleventh and final season, TAPS founder Jason Hawes leads investigations at reportedly haunted locations including the Cleveland, Ohio's Midwest Railway Preservation Society, believed to be tied to the notorious, unsolved Cleveland Torso Murderer serial killer case; Crown Point, Indiana's Old Lake County Jail, famed for being home to gangster John Dillinger...until he escaped; and the Toledo Yacht Club in Toledo, Ohio, said to be haunted by a boy who died over a century ago. In the season opener, "All Aboard the Ghost Train," TAPS travel to Cleveland to investigate a historic roundhouse and rail yard, which they discover is connected to more than just old trains. Their findings include the frightening remnants of a serial killer, horrific accidents and a terrible crash.

On Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, Syfy premiered the Season 11 finale of GHOST HUNTERS. In the season ender, "Manor of Mystery," a museum director and volunteer fear an upcoming Victorian exhibit will agitate entities from that time period. Actors Rachel Nichols and Jonathan Sadowski join as special guest investigators.
