Plot Synopsis

A GATHERING OF TRADITIONS presents music from Fleadh Cheoil 2013 in the district of Derry/Londonderry in Northern Ireland. Each 60-minute episode features a different concert from three days, including: August 14 (Highlands & Islands), with one of Scottish music's traditional singing dynasties, the Campbells of Greepe, alongside fresh new Scottish-Scandanavian folk music courtesy of Marit Falt and Rona Wilkie; August 15 (Across the Atlantic), with a line-up of North American acts, demonstrating through an exceptional standard of performance the close links between Irish and American folk music; and August 16 (The Meitheal Orchestra), with Ireland's finest young trad musicians assemble once again for the Meitheal Reunion Concert.
