Plot Synopsis

Nick Monohan just moved his family from Chicago to a private community called The Gates, a stereotypical image of suburban mountain bliss with planned roads, perfectly manicured homes, and massive iron gates at the main entrance. Nick expected to find a change of pace as the new police chief in this quiet suburb; instead, he'll uncover the dark truth about their new home, where insatiable housewives struggle with ravenous cravings and teenagers are cursed with keeping their beastly instincts in check. His wife, Sarah, is excited by the move, but she's still burdened with the revelation that her husband may not be the man she thought he was. His children, Charlie and Dana, must navigate the trials and tribulations of adolescence while trying to fit into their new upscale school where their new friends run in tight-knit packs.
