Plot Synopsis

FREAKISH is a half-hour horror series that centers on a group of students at a small-town high school, who must fight for survival when predatory mutant freaks take over after a meltdown at the local chemical plant. During Saturday detention, bells ring signaling a containment drill and evacuation - not out of the ordinary for a town with a large chemical plant. The 20 students and the basketball coach retreat to the school fallout shelter for the duration of the drill. Only it's not a drill. When the sirens stop and they return to the school lobby, they find their town has been decimated by an explosion. They see no signs of life outside their high school's front doors. The group tends to their sick classmates who weren't in the bunker, but they soon discover that the peculiar illness is more than meets the eye. Hulu released the entire 10-episode first season on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 3:01am ET/PT. On Tuesday, October 18, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Hulu released the entire 10-episode second season of FREAKISH. In Season 2, the Kent High School students are still trapped inside by the deadly explosion and will find their relationships tested when a new group of survivors arrives. Friendships will be lost, enemies made, and ventures outside into the dangerous unknown will present life and death stakes for the students. The season opens with LaShawn returning to the high school followed by a group of people, who present a grave threat to the kids at the school. Then, with one member of the group in critical condition and time running out, Grover ventures out of the school and finds much more than just supplies.
