Plot Synopsis
The charming Peter Bash and quick-witted Jared Franklin are recruited by Stanton Infeld, the patriarch of one of the top law firms in Los Angeles, to bring new energy to Infeld Daniels, where these lawyer friends handle a variety of clients -- from a woman fired for being too beautiful to a family feud over a cherished baseball. Bash is a fearless lawyer whose charm amuses jurors, angers judges and wins cases, but he's also a ladies man with a killer body. Franklin is a scrappy lawyer who stands up for the little guy by being a supreme showman in the courtroom, and even though his father is a well-known attorney, he never wanted to follow in his footsteps. Together, they are good lawyers who are willing to do anything for a client, no matter who the client might be, and that quality catches the attention of Infeld, who sees himself in this young duo. Once Franklin and Bash join Infeld Daniels, they face the challenge of staying true to themselves while dealing with a more corporate atmosphere and interacting with their colleagues: Damien Karp, Stanton Infeld's nephew, who is a sharp and buttoned-down lawyer trying hard to escape the mighty shadow of his uncle; Hanna Linden, a knockout lawyer and longtime member of Infeld Daniels, who is is smart, polished, effective and nearly unbeatable in the courtroom but endures palatable friction between her and Karp after their recent love affair and subsequent breakup; Pindar Singh, a researcher and writer, who is invaluable to Franklin and Bash since he has a photographic memory, but also a mass of neuroses, highlighted by anxiety and agoraphobia; and Carmen Phillips, a paralegal, who's also a smart, tough private investigator, often finding herself serving as den mother to the unruly organization. In Season 2, Peter and Jared are forced to tackle a little more responsibility, as they face a number of truly daunting tasks to ensure partner status at Infeld-Daniels. Plus, the new season highlights more of their personal lives, introducing ex-wives, parents and new love interests. Season 3, which premiered with back-to-back new episodes on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT on TNT, introduced Rachel King, a stunning, self-made trial lawyer who occasionally pops up on the "Piers Morgan" show and was hired by Stanton as the direct supervisor of Franklin and Bash. FRANKLIN & BASH returned for its fourth season on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on TNT. Four months after the arrest of Stanton Infeld, Peter and Jared find themselves in charge of the newly renamed Infeld, Daniels, Franklin and Bash. Now named senior partners, Franklin and Bash welcome new employees at IDFB, following the departures of Rachel, Carmen, and Pindar from the firm: private investigator Dan Mundy, who they initially hire to discreetly search the firm's computers for evidence that might exonerate Infeld of his supposed crimes; young attorney Anita Haskins; and Ellen Swatello, the newest partner, who was previously and assistant DA with disdain for Franklin and Bash.
