Plot Synopsis

Using re-enactments and first-person interviews, FORBIDDEN: DYING FOR LOVE chronicles true crimes involving star-crossed lovers who defied the forces trying to keep them apart -- but once they crossed that line, anything could happen. Each one-hour episode features a different story, including the series opener, "The Shame of the Father," which documents how two teenagers played with fire by entering into a secret relationship against a father intent on ending their storybook romance. Other forbidden tales uncovered in this series include the single mother whose 18-month jail sentence led to a passionate relationship with a prison guard. But when she vows to leave him, will he let her go? And when a single mother's new fiance asks her to kill his ex-wife and children, will she accept his sinister proposal in the fear her family could be next?

Season 2 of FORBIDDEN: DYING FOR LOVE premiered on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "The Sergeant and the Schoolgirl," when high school senior Michelle Miller joins the Future Soldiers program, she sees it as the first step to realizing her dream of enlisting in the Army. But a forbidden affair with her recruiter risks her career in the Army, and her future itself.

On Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the third season of FORBIDDEN: DYING FOR LOVE. In the season opener, "Love Is a Battlefield," a young Army recruit enlists with dreams of serving her country. What she doesn't expect is to find love with a commanding officer in her platoon. The two battle to keep their forbidden affair secret but can they defeat the enemy within?

Season 4 of FORBIDDEN: DYING FOR LOVE premiered on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery, and then moved to its regular timeslot -- Saturdays at 10pm -- two days later on June 22. In the season opener, "Broken Trust," a teenage girl falls hard for an NYPD officer, who promises to make all her dreams come true, but when affairs of the heart are complicated by the letter of the law, someone will pay the price.
