Plot Synopsis

Created and written by Jo Rogers, FOR HER SINS is a four-part psychological thriller that centers on successful lawyer Laura Conroy, who has a beautiful family with a loving husband and two beautiful children. But like any family there are cracks in their perfect veneer, and Laura is haunted by a dark secret from her past. When she befriends charming newcomer Emily, she has no idea her secret is about to resurface. Emily nurtures Laura's neuroses about her ability as a mother, fuels tensions in her marriage, and reignites an old flame from Laura's past. But Laura is hiding something too...and these two women are bound by a shared secret -- one they have both tried to keep buried. But nothing stays a secret forever. FOR HER SINS made its U.S. debut on Monday, April 1, 2024 on Acorn TV, which released all four episodes:

Episode 1: Laura appears to be the perfect mom, wife, and lawyer, but she harbors a dark secret. When she meets a kind stranger named Emily, she begins to realize there's more to her new friend than she lets on.

Episode 2: Laura blacks out following a wild night on the town with Emily, putting her marriage at risk. As Laura tries to piece together what happened, Emily embeds herself deeper into her life.

Episode 3: After discovering that Emily isn't who she claims to be, Laura sets out to find answers. But with her husband leaving for America and a journalist poking into her past, Laura nears her breaking point.

Episode 4: When Laura confesses her secret, Emily forces her to face her past while also plotting to expose her to the journalist. As Emily works to tear Laura's family apart, the tragic connection between the women is revealed.
