Plot Synopsis
THE FOOD THAT BUILT AMERICA: SNACK SIZED is a half-hour documentary series that delves deeper into the stories behind the ruthless innovators and entrepreneurs featured in THE FOOD THAT BUILT AMERICA. Spotlighting the rest of the untold story, the series tells the bite-sized history of all of the foods we love. THE FOOD THAT BUILT AMERICA: SNACK SIZED debuted on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 10-11pm ET/PT, as History debuted back-to-back episodes:
"The Classic" (10pm): This is the epic story behind the most iconic soft drink in the world, and the incredible lengths its creators took to stay on top.
"Special Delivery" (10:30pm): Complete with drones, muscle cars, and a whole lot of dough, this is the story of the most successful pizza chain on the planet, starting with mid-Western brothers who had never made pizza before, and continuing through a series of innovations that changed restaurants, dining out, and helped introduce pizza to the nation.
