Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Josh Temple, FLIPPING THE BLOCK is a one-hour reality series that follows four duos who each have the same budget and eight weeks to transform identical condos in Los Angeles while living in their dilapidated, two-bedroom units. After the two-person teams complete their room-by-room renovations, the condos are sold at auction, and the pair that gets the highest bid wins the $50,000 cash prize. Along the way, Nicole Curtis and Scott McGillivray judge each team's efforts and decide who wins a weekly prize, including extra cash for their design budget and even help from David Bromstad. The two-person teams include: The Red Team, featuring New Orleans sisters Anicka Jones Marshall and Shauna Jones Williams; the Silver Team, comprised of Curtis Goldin and Amanda Marks from Coronado, CA, a couple who have dated for one year; the Black Team, showcasing now-married childhood sweethearts John and Whitney Spinks from Jacksonville, FL; and the Blue Team, with twin brothers Craig Welborn and Brian Welborn from Austin, TX.
