Plot Synopsis

THE FIRST KILL is a one-hour series that uses re-enactments, archival footage, and first-person interviews to explore the initial murder that inspired a killing spree, confounded law enforcement, and terrified the masses. Detectives who are haunted by unforgotten cold cases finally connect the dots while family and friends of victims at last understand their loved one's death. Each 60-minute episode of this two-part series focuses on a different killer, including: Timothy Krajcir, whose first victims, beauty queen Brenda Parsh and her mother, are found dead in their Missouri home, causing police to launch an investigation that spans 30 years and unearths 9 victims; and Son of Sam, who ruthlessly murdered one young woman in New York City in the 1970s -- with no apparent motive or rationale -- forcing the NYPD to begin their most desperate manhunt to date, while trying to calms terrified citizens.
